Clinical Assistant Professor Pediatrics, UTRGV
Doctor Argenal is a board certified pediatrician with over 17 years of pediatric expertise in hospital and clinic settings. He graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Centro America in San Jose, Costa Rica. He completed an internship in family practice at the University of Alabama, before deciding to specialize further into Pediatrics. He completed his pediatric specialty training, from the University of Florida, in 2004.
He moved to McAllen after completing his specialty, and served the local community as a pediatric hospitalist for 5 years before opening his own practice in 2009. He is the proud father of three children, ranging in age from 9 to 16 years old.
We’ve been with Argenal Pediatrics since my son was 3 days old. He’ll be turning 9 in one month. The staff and doctors have been incredible to my family and I. Any questions or concerns any worried parent might have are answered in a timely manner. Thank you Dr. Argenal and staff for diligently working to ensure the safety of our community, parents and especially our children.
I used TELEMEDICINE yesterday with Dr. Argenal. It’s very similar to FaceTime. My son’s symptoms deemed testing, but we were able to go to the office, pull up to a designated parking spot and the nurses came to swab my son. It took maybe 5 minutes. We got results and meds. It was quick and we were able to social distance. Such a neat feature, I highly recommend it.
I love this pediatrics office for many reasons. They separate the sick waiting area from the non sick waiting area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even have a waiting area for babies only. And they also have a cozy breastfeeding room (probably my favorite part). The doctors are very knowledgeable and professional, they never make us feel rushed and always answer every one of our questions accordingly.
